Green Skills Analysis and Planning Capacity Development

Building on the green skills research New Knowledge Field project, this initiative lead to the production of training materials and the development of a course and professional development programme. The aim was for a number of South African universities to offer an accredited version of the course from 2016. The first course took place in October 2017. Follow this link to find out more.

Participants included both experienced and inexperienced academic students and consultant researchers from a variety of backgrounds. In this way, we were able to expand the small body of researchers and skills planners able to analyse, quantify and qualify green skills supply and demand, and the repertoire of analytical tools and planning methods on which they can draw.

If you are interested to attend or host the next course, please contact us or mail Professor Eureta Rosenburg or Dr Presha Ramsarup
